Local young adult scares kids as well as adults at a grocery store on Halloween Night; See the pictures here!

Hello! As Halloween is the only day of the year when no one is allowed to be weird about what one looks like (as if lol), I obviously had to use the opportunity as well as I could. This look is what I ended up with and as one could conclude from the post title, I went to the grocery store and I'm pretty sure I scared some people...

I bought a white contact lense for my other eye again (I would've bought them for both eyes alas they didn't have the right strength for my left eye and thus I bought one only for my right eye) and since it looks scary I wore it today. White face paint was also a given (as if I didn't sometimes wear it just casually lmao), as well as black lipstick. I decided to do these crosses over my eyes because I've been thinking about it for a long time and thought that Halloween was a very good occasion for them. I matched the jewels and eyeshadow to my hair. And speaking of hair I just teased it a little and put a bit of hairspray in it and it turned out pretty cool.

The leather coat, the lace shirt which you can see a part of below, and the lower belt are from the local thrift store. The leather pants are from an online thrift store, the shoes are the same ones I wore in the last post, and the leather-like top is from New Yorker. The upper belt and the choker are from ebay, and the rings and necklaces are second hand. Now I hope I didn't forget to mention anything lol I wore so many things that it is very much possible.

Shopping Day Outfit!!

Hello friends! It has been a nice 3 months since I last posted... once again lol! Anyway I would hope that I'd manage to write a couple posts in the nearby future because I have many outfits I'd like to talk about in depth. Unfortunately your fave (me) is now a working adult and thus my unlimited free time has come to an end, and besides blogging I have lots of other hobbies I need to have time for like playing the guitar and the bass, drawing/other art (painting), writing fiction, daydreaming (taking naps)... but I've had this week off work and I have Monday and Tuesday off too so we'll see what I can create! But let's get into the actual topic which is the outfit I wore yesterday when I went shopping (thrifting) with my mom!

This outfit is quite new in a sense that this was the first time I got to wear it but in reality the whole outfit except for my shoes and a few accessories are second hand! The pants (heavily modified, which I will talk more about in a second), the coat and the dress shirt are all from a thrift store in my town and have cost less than 10€ in total, and the t-shirt, which is The GazettE t-shirt from I think 2007??, is from mercari!! Then from the million accessories that I am wearing, the ones that aren't thrifted/from my mom, including the belt and the spiked choker (which I should really replace like it's seriously falling apart), are from ebay.

Now the pants! I thrifted the suit they are a part of nearly four years ago thanks to my very casual interest (=obsession) in Ryan Ross (Panic! At The Disco's guitarist 2004 - 2009) (he liked to wear pinstripes), and I'm so glad I did because this suit has been one of the most worn things in my closet ever since. But recently I started thinking about modifying the pants (the jacket had been long since modified) to better suit my ever evolving style, and this week I finally did it. Modifications that aren't very visible are changing the button and cutting and sewing things around so that the button is visible like in jeans; lengthening the pockets so that my phone fits in them properly (because this is women's suit and so obviously the pockets are very small (I am currently planning to lengthen the pockets of the suit jacket as well)); adding belt loops (I stole the new button and these belt loops from an old pair of jeans (that were also thrifted)); and taking the pants in a bit so they'd be bootcut rather than loose. Other modifications which serve no other purpose but to look pretty is adding a bit of lacing over each of the pockets. The metal rings used for that are from an old chain necklace and the satin ribbon is left-over from another project. I'm planning to add some belt buckles and a zipper to the pant legs as well but we'll see if I'll actually do that.

(And here's the jacket... Wasn't my hair so so pretty here?? It matched my phone case.)

And because surely you are interested, I thrifted some cool things like a couple cds (Three Dollar Bill, Y'all - Limp Bizkit and Dark Light - HIM), a few movies (Scream, Scream 3, Minority Report (there's anime called Psycho-Pass and it is my favourite ever And it's heavily inspired by Minority Report) and Avatar (I really like Uruha of The GazettE, it's his favourite movie lmao)) and!! a pink cd player!! It is so so cute <3. And since it is almost Halloween I picked up yet another skull from the Halloween section at the grocery store... I have quite a few skulls lying around my room.

Thanks for reading and I hope I'll see you soon!!

Gothic Lolita inspired look!

Hi! Today's outfit is gothic lolita inspired because recently I've seen lots of pictures of gothic lolita looks and thus ended up wanting to dress like that. I don't think my outfit actually meets all the qualifications for it to be considered gothic lolita and so I'm only saying that it's inspired by it.

For that matter, though, I'd love to dress in lolita, but there are way too many rules for my taste and I fear I'd be called an ita. Also it's kind of too clean a style for me? It feels wrong to look so put together and proper. I'm too punk rock for lolita or whatever. But I really do love the style and specifically gothic lolita! Wish I had it in me to get into it but as of right now I don't have it in me, the best I can do is this. Maybe one day, though.

What I'm wearing:

  • dress [thrifted]
  • corset [got it from my mom, changed the lacing from shoelaces to satin myself]
  • shirt [new yorker]
  • petticoats (which you hopefully can't see) [thrifted]
  • choker [made it myself]
  • tights [got them from my mom]
  • boots [lolita wardrobe]
  • necklace [betsey johnson]
It is that time of the year again, I steal flowers from our neighbour's garden and take the best pictures I've taken all year. On the way to steal the flowers I walked past another neighbour whom I forgot has a dog and I almost had a heart attack when the said dog suddenly ran up to me from behind lol.

I started making a fashion portfolio...

...And then I quit after two pages. I saw an ad for a fashion school, not gonna mention which one it was because I don't remember it, and as a fashion enthusiast wanna-be designer I obviously checked out the application forms and everything even though I actually had no intentions of applying there, and there was mentioned a fashion portfolio. I took a screenshot of it, thinking that it could be smart and useful to make one for myself since in the future I am going to apply to some fashion schools, you can see it below.

You see how it mentions "mood board"? That's what I started with and used those two pages for! I have a pile of old Vogue magazines from back when I was still into fashion yes but more into the mainstream rather than alternative as I'm now, and I cut them up some more and put together some really cool collages that represent my vision as well as it is possible to present an alternative brand with stuff from Vogue.

I let the collages stay in the sketchbook I used for maybe two days and then I ripped out the pages and put them on my wall and decided to leave making a fashion portfolio until later. I think that next time I'm going to have to print out pictures that better represent my vision because the pictures in Vogue just don't really work.

Gyaru look!!

Hi! Today's look is a gyaru look or at least an attempt since I'm not totally sure of what counts as gyaru and what doesn't. I've read that basically any clothes can pass as gyaru as long as your makeup (and hair?) are on point so I suppose this look is in fact gyaru. At least I hope it is, I think gyaru is a cool style. And look how cute collage I made!

My hair was still slightly curled from the day before and I had the idea to do some cool look because it's rare that my hair is anything else but straight (I love having straight hair though), and once I found my huge fake eyelashes I decided to attempt a gyaru look! Usually I've just tried my best to copy gyaru makeup looks from the pictures I've seen on Pinterest but this time I actually watched a Youtube tutorial because I was curious to see how an actual gyaru did the makeup, and watching that did make it easier to do a gyaru makeup (even though mine isn't that extreme since I don't like to do contouring and highlighting, the best I can do is use a bit of blush lol).

This outfit:

  • dress [H&M]
  • corset [mom gave it to me years ago] [I am also wearing it backwards cause I think it looks cuter that way. However I can't actually wear it like that since it's designed for someone with boobs and thus looks stupid on the backside like this.]
  • petticoat [thrifted]
  • shoes [Demonia]
  • socks [ebay]
  • choker [ebay]
  • nails [a friend made them as a commission and I love them]

Turmion Kätilöt Concert Looks

Hi! Today I'm showing what I wore/looked like when I saw Turmion Kätilöt live first in March and now in April. To the first concert I went with my dad, and in addition to him at the second concert there were also his girlfriend and my brother (though he didn't stay there for the whole concert lol).

[Update 11.2.2023] I found out later that a friend that I made at a festival last summer had also been at the second concert and so had my coworker lol it's a small world or something.

19.3.2022 Turmion Kätilöt

First of all I would like to say that this is overall one of the coolest that I've ever looked like my hair and my makeup and my outfit were all so so good that I can hardly believe it. This guy who checked our tickets also complimented my makeup! And also I ended up wearing my beloved pinstripe jacket decorated with chains and safety pins all night because I got a bit insecure about showing as much skin as I meant to.

What I'm wearing:

★ top [new yorker]
★ shorts [new yorker]
★ boots [lolita wardrobe]
★ belts [thrifted & ebay]
★ choker & wrist cuffs [ebay]

16.4.2022 Turmion Kätilöt

I cut my bangs and shaved my eyebrows just for this concert so like, dedication or something. Also this hair color (light pink & pink) is perhaps the prettiest I've ever had...

What I'm wearing:

★ corset [cat o'brien] (worn backwards)
★ skirt [thrifted] (originally a dress but I made it into a skirt)
★ shoes [demonia]
★ choker thing [made by me]
★ fishnets [ebay]

Very cool but impractical choker-handcuff thing!!

Hiii! Today's post is just me showing off this super cool thing that I made last Saturday. I don't really know what to call it but it has a choker and handcuffs that are connected by chains and obviously that makes it look really kinky lol.

I made it out of this kind of like vinyl leather fabric that used to be pants and while it looks very nice the fabric should've been thicker cause the chains are so heavy that they pull down the choker. (Update: I sewed some thicker leather inside the choker and this problem was solved! I wore this thing to a Turmion Kätilöt concert for reference!) The chain that I used my dad bought me about two years ago when I like really started dressing punk (nowadays I wouldn't say I dress punk though), the metal rings used to connect the chains to the choker and handcuffs are from old necklaces, and the satin ribbon I bought last year for a different project that ended up being a failure.

Like the post title says, the choker-handcuff thing is very impractical and takes forever to put on but again it looks cool as fuck, soo. But seriously I didn't consider the fact that the ribbon for lacing the choker should be longer than for the handcuffs cause obviously the circumference of a head is way bigger than a hand and now I need to basically take the whole ribbon off to put on the choker :'(. Also this reminds me that my favourite part of making this thing was definitely burning the ends of the satin ribbon hehehe.

This thing is especially impractical for playing the guitar </3. The chain connecting the right handcuff and the choker hits the strings and so I can't wear it while playing.

While I was making this choker-handcuff thing I started watching Blood & Water and it's really good, I recommend it. Also another recommendation but this time for music is Psyclon Nine, I listened to them for the first time last week and they're sooo good. I specifically recommend the album "We The Fallen" and the songs called "Heartworm", "There But For The Grace Of God" and "Suicide Note Lullaby"!! I saw a picture of them on Pinterest and they looked cool so I decided to listen to them. (The picture I saw below.)

Also I bought the pants and the top about a week or so ago! The pants are from H&M and they were size 48 (I usually wear size 40, depends on the brand and whether I buy men's or women's clothes though) both because nowadays I prefer looser pant legs and also because I couldn't find more of the same jeans (they were on sale) and I've wanted this kind of pants for sooo long. The top was like half a euro at a thrift store and as dumb as it sounds I've also wanted this kind of top for a long time but haven't found one even though it's like so basic.

Leopard Print Baker Boy Hat!!!

Hiii it's been a while! I'm going to try to post more often from now on, I'm again super inspired to actually blog because I've been reading other blogs and they're super cool, I love blogs. Blogs should really make a comeback.

Anyway today's post is about this super cute hat that I just made! I used this tutorial to make it and it turned out sooo well even though at many points I was worried that I'd fucked it up. Instead of velvet I used velour, though, so it was a bit more stretchy. I had some excess fabric from when I made a mini skirt last autumn (also wearing it right now) and I used that. I've wanted a leopard print hat (either a baker boy hat or a beret) for quite a long time and I decided to make one myself rather than wait around for one to maybe be sold somewhere.

Also notice how cute my nails are!! I saw a picture of similar nails (though longer) on Pinterest and I thought that I could actually recreate the look on my really short nails. It's a bit annoying that I can't do all these super cool and elaborate designs since I need to have short nails to play the guitar and the bass. However I love playing the guitar and the bass so it doesn't bother me too much.

  • shirt [mom gave it to me yeaaars ago]
  • jacket [thrift store, the chains etc. added by me]
  • hat [made by me]

  • tights [ebay i think]
  • choker [ebay]
  • sunglasses [ebay]
  • belt [ebay]
