London & Vkei Night !!

Hiiii!! I went on a spontaneous trip to London to meet some friends and attend Vkei Night (I had just gotten my payoff from the job I had for the past winter so I had money to spend on something like that😭) and I wore some really cool outfits which I'll be showing off now!! But before that I will be giving some song recommendations to go with today's theme... The Vkei Night was gothic themed so today's songs will be gothic visual kei!! This is an insane opportunity to mention my favorite band D'espairsRay since they're literally a gothic visual kei band... Their music also counts as nu metal and industrial and and and-

★ Gothic - D'espairsRay (There are lots of other perfect examples of gothic visual kei by D'espairsRay but I literally had no other choice but to choose this song...)
★ Lucifer - Madeth Gray'll (To be honest Madeth Gray'll sucks but IDK sometimes awful kote kei bands are so bad that they're good. However Lucifer is one of my fave songs ever so it doesn't suck THAT much...)
★ Le Revenant - Blood
★ 月世界 (Tsuki Sekai) - BUCK-TICK (This is the opening song for one of my favorite anime, 'Nightwalker'... It has vampires in case you're interested...)
★ 我、在ルベキ場所 (waga arubeki basho) - MUCC
★ 極東の恋人 (kyokutou no koibito) - LAREINE (Kind of unrelated but LAREINE era Kamijo (their singer) is like the ultimate gender... I wish to look like that but I don't know if I'll ever have enough patience to grow my hair that long.)

Friday 16.06.2023

After having spent the previous night at the airport because of poor train connections I didn't look nor feel very fresh once I got to London but it got a bit better after I got some food and coffee in my system... I spent most of the day with a friend, in the morning we met at Camden Town where I had already wanted to visit last year on my London trip but hadn't had time. We got lunch, walked around the market and visited shops, and got coffee (my friend got tea like a real Bri'ish person). There were so many cool stores with insanely cool stuff that I wanted to buy but I only ended up getting another skull for my collection.

In the afternoon after I had checked in at my hotel and freshened up and changed my outfit we went out again and took some cool pictures. I took my digital camera with me this time and the vibes of that camera are sooo dreamy and out of this world, it's just unfortunate that the camera eats batteries and you have to change them really often :(.

I made this skirt myself and this far it is my coolest creation. I'm really happy with how it turned out cause it was way more complicated than anything I've made before!

Saturday 17.06.2023

I spent most of the day at my hotel drinking vodka mixed with various other drinks while reading Anne Rice's Interview With The Vampire, only going out to eat late lunch/early dinner again in Camden Town. When it started getting late I got ready to meet up with friends and go to Vkei Night! I was really nervous cause I had never met these friends in real life but once again I was nervous for no reason, they were so cool and I had a lot of fun.

Anyway as a certified Uruha of The GazettE lover and specifically blue haired baby Uruha from pre-Gazetto times, I based my Vkei Night look on his iconic Ma'die Küsse look. Considering that it was going to be really hot I didn't exactly copy his outfit and made myself a sleeveless dress rather than a dress with sleeves. Because of the heat I also didn't put on a lace shirt beneath the dress, despite owning like 4 or 5 black lace shirts, and instead wore lace gloves for like the train ride to the bar cause then I forgot them on the bottom of my bag after going to the bathroom lmao.

I met some other cool people besides my friends there and got told that I didn't actually even need to go fashion school after I said that I'd made my dress myself and that made me really happy :). I am totally going to fashion school anyway, though. [My pictures of the look are extremely limited but I will take better pics of the dress at some point!!]

Sunday 18.06.2023

I met up with the same friend as on Friday, this time she was so nice as to go see some tourist attractions with me despite having lived in London all her life lmao. We also took really cute pictures again!

Once we parted ways and I got to the right part of town I picked up some takeout from a Thai buffet near my hotel and that was one of the best meals I've ever had... It was so cheap and so so tasty and there were so many different foods... Unfortunately I have no idea what most of the foods I ate were and thus the only way I can experience them again is either to find my way back there or by accident.

On Sunday night I also met up with the other friend from the previous night to hang out for a bit before we both would go back to our countries again... :( At the same time I love having friends all over the globe but I also hate it cause it's so difficult to meet up with them...

What I'm wearing:

★ corset [tripp nyc]
★ skirt [thrifted]
★ boots [off brand] (these have been my fave shoes for about 4 years but the other shoe's sole is broken so I really need to get some new boots... :()
★ all accessories [thrifted or ebay]
★ bags [mostly my friend's, my tote bag is originally palaye royale merch but I covered their logo with The GazettE's debut album 'Disorder's cover art... as in I painted it myself]

Monday 19.06.2023

As last year I didn't have time to go meet my friend's cats I went over for lunch on Monday. I also met my friend's mom which was kinda awkward as expected cause I'm not very good with people's parents, but it could've been worse! Anyway my friend made us some really good lunch, and after eating that she walked me to the train station where I took the train to Heathrow Airport and eventually started my long journey back home...

In conclusion I really love London and my friends and cool clothes and good food.

Gothic Lolita inspired look pt. 2

Hello! While I still won't get into lolita for real I still think the style is cute and as it is, sometimes I take inspiration from it. This time one of my friends said that they'd maybe like to try lolita and that inspired me to put together another mockery of a gothic lolita coord or whatever they're called, and I hope you'll enjoy!!

I found my old digital camera after it was lost for a couple of years and took pictures on it and like ugh the pictures look so aesthetic. I don't know how to change the settings on the camera, though, and it prints the date 01/01/2007 on all of them despite 2007 having been what, 16 years ago???? That is just insane... But regardless I think that the pictures suit the atmosphere of my blog (or at least the atmosphere I'm trying to achieve), as I miss the countless blogs and Myspace and all of the early days of the internet that I never got to take part in... I really prefer blogs over any social media and I think more people should have blogs. I hope they make a comeback like some people (me included) are predicting.

Anyway the real reason we are here is my outfit. It is rare that I wear dresses or skirts because of reasons related to gender that I'm not going to get into, but then sometimes I remember that dresses and skirts are super cute. I don't have any super extra cute dresses (or skirts) and I live in cold climate so this outfit is very layered (yet I still got a bit cold cause I was wearing only one pair of tights).

I'm wearing a turtleneck that I got from my mom many years ago, and a puff-sleeved cotton dress and a tulle skirt that I thrifted also many years ago as the base outfit. The really cool things here are the choker that I made from a belt that was my favorite as a kid that I just found from the attic and which was unfortunately too short to use as a belt, basically I just cut the belt to the right length to go around my neck and made a new hole in the leather so the clasp could be closed (it's just a stick behind the extremely cool buckle lol); Cat O'Brien velvet corset I bought a couple years ago that I usually prefer to wear backwards since I'm not really a fan of showing any of my chest and as you can see, when worn as it's supposed to it'd show A LOT of cleavage; and the cage skirt which I made myself from a lace skirt that I thrifted but never used as it was.

Also adding a picture of my new ear piercings (two helix and one rook) and of my D'espairsRay posters (most of them. I feel so so casual about them and it shows)!! And a side note I really wish I could've worn nail polish with this look alas my job says I can't and so I can only wear it on the weekends.

Styling low-waisted jeans!!

Hey besties :)) I accidentally didn't post anything for a couple of months but I'm here again!! Today I'm showing how I styled my newest pair of black jeans!

I'm really into D'espairsRay right now and they (mainly Karyu (guitarist) and Zero (bassist)) are my current style inspiration hehe. A couple pictures of them below and also I really recommend listening to them! My favourite songs are "Forbidden" and 浮遊した理想 (Fuyuu Shita Risou).

The jeans are very low-waisted and so they highlight the fact that I have wide hips (not a fan) soo I tested out a lot of different tops, trying to figure out what would look cool. I settled on this cool lace shirt that I thrifted last week (it's actually so long that I could use it as a dress) and one of my million (five) vertically striped blazers.

For accessories I chose to wear this hat that I bought from a Halloween clearance last spring, a necktie along with my usual spiked choker, new fishnet gloves that are also from a Halloween clearance haha, and a studded belt that the jeans actually stay on me cause when I said low-waisted I really meant they are low-waisted. For shoes I chose to wear my Demonias.

Thank you for reading, hope you like the outfit!!
