Also here's a link to the first part in this what has become a series: Turmion Kätilöt Concert Looks (Part 1) !!!

Anyway so I have three outfits to show off for this post which means three Turmion Kätilöt shows... It's technically true except one of the shows was cancelled about 10 minutes before the band was supposed to start playing cause they didn't get to use smoke machines even though it had been approved beforehand. It was really annoying but thankfully I had another one of their shows coming up the next day so it wasn't as awful for me as it was for many others. [UPDATE: they're holding a make-up gig in September!!]

17.3.2023 Turmion Kätilöt

I don't actually have any pictures from this day, these pics are from when I tried on the outfit about a week before the gig. I ended up wearing fishnet gloves on both hands rather than one fishnet and one lace cause the lace gloves are actually kind of inconvenient. I also wore a plain silver cross necklace instead of the red cross because when I tried on the outfit I had red nails but I painted them black before the show and the silver cross fit the look better then.

Anyway I went to this gig with two of my friends who had also been to the Turmion Kätilöt gig last year back when we didn't know each other yet and it was really fun! This was one of my favourite gigs I've ever been to even though I ended up being sick for almost 2 weeks afterwards cause my immune system sucks and I was definitely not dressed for the weather... Also I saw my coworker at this gig but I had had so much to drink and I was sitting down so I wasn't able to react quickly enough to go talk to her :(.

What I'm wearing:

★ top [tripp nyc]
★ skirt [thrifted]
★ boots [lolita wardrobe]
★ literally all accessories [ebay]
★ except that silver cross necklace that you can see in look 3 [punxnkisses]

21.4.2023 Turmion Kätilöt

This is the gig that was cancelled! I went there with my dad and his girlfriend (aka my stepmom lite) and we ended up having fun despite the cancellation.

Oh also the thicker wrist cuff you can see in the picture above... I used to have two of them but last year I lent them to my dad for the second Turmion Kätilöt concert we went to and he wanted to use them this time too but since I wanted to use them, too, he offered to buy the other one from me... And then the next day he tried to sell it back to me but since I got such a good price for it I nowadays only have one of the cuffs lmao.

What I'm wearing:

★ top [new yorker]
★ pants [tripp nyc]
★ boots (that you can't see in the picture...) [aliexpress]
★ choker & wrist cuffs [thrifted & ebay]

22.4.2023 Turmion Kätilöt

For this gig I made my outfit myself!! I managed to make both pieces (the top and the skirt) from one pair of pants I never used which is pretty impressive if I say so myself. At first I just made the skirt to match this corset top I bought from a thrift store in London last year (picture 1 (picture not taken in London but at Hyvinkää before Rockfest)) but then I saw this picture of Fallon Bowman of Kittie (picture 2) and decided to try if I could make myself a similar top (I did pretty well, I think).

Also I asked two of my friends from work to go with me (and the other friend from the first gig of the year) to this gig but neither of them were able to make it :(. We made plans to meet up this week with the other friend from work to make up for the gig, though, so that's cool! But to be honest I'm kinda really nervous cause well obviously since we met at work we haven't hung out Outside of work (besides going to the store together one time) and it's always different... But honestly everything makes me anxious, so.

Anyway,

What I'm wearing:

★ top [Ang3l Bl00d (me)]
★ skirt [Ang3l Bl00d (me)]
★ boots (that you again can't see in the pictures...) [demonia]
★ tights [cybershop]
★ choker & wrist cuffs [thrifted & ebay]
★ necklace [punxnkisses]

Anyway, I also bought a Global Warning CD and a pink & black Turmion Kätilöt shirt from the first gig but I don't have a picture of them! Global Warning is my favourite album after their debut album Hoitovirhe but I already owned that as a CD cause I had stolen it from my dad lmao.

Red + Black + Leopard Print = The Perfect Outfit

Hello!! I decided to try out this new thing and share a few songs in the beginning of each blog entry, a soundtrack so to say, even though it totally won't take so long to read the post that you could listen to all the songs while reading. I thought that five songs would be good and basically they're just what I've been listening to a lot recently.

·:*¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨*:·
★ Counting on Me - Korn
★ The Hand That Feeds - Nine Inch Nails
★ Platinum - Orgy
★ "Forbidden" - D'espairsRay (there is literally no time when I'm -not- listening to this a lot, it is literally the best song in the world and I can't stress that enough)
★ Cold - Static-X (I have a special edition Queen of the Damned DVD and it has the music video for this song on it, too... that DVD is literally one of my favorite things ever, Queen of the Damned is one of my favorite movies if not The favorite...)
·:*¨༺ ♱✮♱ ༻¨*:·

Recently I've acquired some clothes that I've wanted for ages and all I can say that having a job really has some nice benefits (having money to buy things I want). Anyway, the clothes in question are a leopard print faux fur coat and Tripp NYC pants! The coat was pretty cheap as I thrifted it but the pants were not... I couldn't find the pants that I wanted (or actually any Tripp NYC clothes...) from any European sites so on top of already paying a lot for the actual pants I also had to pay a lot for the shipping since the pants came from the US. However the pants are so perfect and my new faves so like, I don't actually care.

I also recently made some changes to my appearance (not really news since that happens about once a month...), this time dying my hair back to blonde and shaving my eyebrows. Getting rid of the turquoise hair dye was just as difficult as last year and required two rounds of bleach and two rounds of blonde dye and actually there's still a bluish tint to my hair but it'll wash out... Shaving my eyebrows was something that I've thought about ever since I grew them back the last time and finally I ended up doing it even though it kinda sucks to go to work with no eyebrows. Anyway, now that I have blonde hair again I can wear red again (which is the other color besides pink that I actually wear sometimes).

What I'm wearing:

★ coat [thrifted]
★ pants [tripp nyc, vampire freaks]
★ t-shirt [mercari] (the GazettE merch from 2006!!! I've also got two stickers with the same design!)
★ button-up shirt [new yorker]
★ boots [demonia] (my mom got these for me from an online thrift store but unfortunately they're a bit too small and I can't actually wear them :'( I've been planning to resell them but I still haven't gotten around to it)
★ sunglasses [black ones: probably my mom's old ones, found them in the attic; red ones: ebay]
★ choker [ebay]
★ necklaces [red cross: betsey johnson; silver cross: punxnkisses; playboy bunny: berlinsjewelry]
★ rings [thrifted & from my mom]

Gothic Lolita inspired look pt. 2

Hello! While I still won't get into lolita for real I still think the style is cute and as it is, sometimes I take inspiration from it. This time one of my friends said that they'd maybe like to try lolita and that inspired me to put together another mockery of a gothic lolita coord or whatever they're called, and I hope you'll enjoy!!

I found my old digital camera after it was lost for a couple of years and took pictures on it and like ugh the pictures look so aesthetic. I don't know how to change the settings on the camera, though, and it prints the date 01/01/2007 on all of them despite 2007 having been what, 16 years ago???? That is just insane... But regardless I think that the pictures suit the atmosphere of my blog (or at least the atmosphere I'm trying to achieve), as I miss the countless blogs and Myspace and all of the early days of the internet that I never got to take part in... I really prefer blogs over any social media and I think more people should have blogs. I hope they make a comeback like some people (me included) are predicting.

Anyway the real reason we are here is my outfit. It is rare that I wear dresses or skirts because of reasons related to gender that I'm not going to get into, but then sometimes I remember that dresses and skirts are super cute. I don't have any super extra cute dresses (or skirts) and I live in cold climate so this outfit is very layered (yet I still got a bit cold cause I was wearing only one pair of tights).

I'm wearing a turtleneck that I got from my mom many years ago, and a puff-sleeved cotton dress and a tulle skirt that I thrifted also many years ago as the base outfit. The really cool things here are the choker that I made from a belt that was my favorite as a kid that I just found from the attic and which was unfortunately too short to use as a belt, basically I just cut the belt to the right length to go around my neck and made a new hole in the leather so the clasp could be closed (it's just a stick behind the extremely cool buckle lol); Cat O'Brien velvet corset I bought a couple years ago that I usually prefer to wear backwards since I'm not really a fan of showing any of my chest and as you can see, when worn as it's supposed to it'd show A LOT of cleavage; and the cage skirt which I made myself from a lace skirt that I thrifted but never used as it was.

Also adding a picture of my new ear piercings (two helix and one rook) and of my D'espairsRay posters (most of them. I feel so so casual about them and it shows)!! And a side note I really wish I could've worn nail polish with this look alas my job says I can't and so I can only wear it on the weekends.

Local young adult scares kids as well as adults at a grocery store on Halloween Night; See the pictures here!

Hello! As Halloween is the only day of the year when no one is allowed to be weird about what one looks like (as if lol), I obviously had to use the opportunity as well as I could. This look is what I ended up with and as one could conclude from the post title, I went to the grocery store and I'm pretty sure I scared some people...

I bought a white contact lense for my other eye again (I would've bought them for both eyes alas they didn't have the right strength for my left eye and thus I bought one only for my right eye) and since it looks scary I wore it today. White face paint was also a given (as if I didn't sometimes wear it just casually lmao), as well as black lipstick. I decided to do these crosses over my eyes because I've been thinking about it for a long time and thought that Halloween was a very good occasion for them. I matched the jewels and eyeshadow to my hair. And speaking of hair I just teased it a little and put a bit of hairspray in it and it turned out pretty cool.

The leather coat, the lace shirt which you can see a part of below, and the lower belt are from the local thrift store. The leather pants are from an online thrift store, the shoes are the same ones I wore in the last post, and the leather-like top is from New Yorker. The upper belt and the choker are from ebay, and the rings and necklaces are second hand. Now I hope I didn't forget to mention anything lol I wore so many things that it is very much possible.

Thx for reading!!

Shopping Day Outfit!!

Hello friends! It has been a nice 3 months since I last posted... once again lol! Anyway I would hope that I'd manage to write a couple posts in the nearby future because I have many outfits I'd like to talk about in depth. Unfortunately your fave (me) is now a working adult and thus my unlimited free time has come to an end, and besides blogging I have lots of other hobbies I need to have time for like playing the guitar and the bass, drawing/other art (painting), writing fiction, daydreaming (taking naps)... but I've had this week off work and I have Monday and Tuesday off too so we'll see what I can create! But let's get into the actual topic which is the outfit I wore yesterday when I went shopping (thrifting) with my mom!

This outfit is quite new in a sense that this was the first time I got to wear it but in reality the whole outfit except for my shoes and a few accessories are second hand! The pants (heavily modified, which I will talk more about in a second), the coat and the dress shirt are all from a thrift store in my town and have cost less than 10€ in total, and the t-shirt, which is The GazettE t-shirt from I think 2007??, is from mercari!! Then from the million accessories that I am wearing, the ones that aren't thrifted/from my mom, including the belt and the spiked choker (which I should really replace like it's seriously falling apart), are from ebay.

Now the pants! I thrifted the suit they are a part of nearly four years ago thanks to my very casual interest (=obsession) in Ryan Ross (Panic! At The Disco's guitarist 2004 - 2009) (he liked to wear pinstripes), and I'm so glad I did because this suit has been one of the most worn things in my closet ever since. But recently I started thinking about modifying the pants (the jacket had been long since modified) to better suit my ever evolving style, and this week I finally did it. Modifications that aren't very visible are changing the button and cutting and sewing things around so that the button is visible like in jeans; lengthening the pockets so that my phone fits in them properly (because this is women's suit and so obviously the pockets are very small (I am currently planning to lengthen the pockets of the suit jacket as well)); adding belt loops (I stole the new button and these belt loops from an old pair of jeans (that were also thrifted)); and taking the pants in a bit so they'd be bootcut rather than loose. Other modifications which serve no other purpose but to look pretty is adding a bit of lacing over each of the pockets. The metal rings used for that are from an old chain necklace and the satin ribbon is left-over from another project. I'm planning to add some belt buckles and a zipper to the pant legs as well but we'll see if I'll actually do that.

(And here's the jacket... Wasn't my hair so so pretty here?? It matched my phone case.)

And because surely you are interested, I thrifted some cool things like a couple cds (Three Dollar Bill, Y'all - Limp Bizkit and Dark Light - HIM), a few movies (Scream, Scream 3, Minority Report (there's anime called Psycho-Pass and it is my favourite ever And it's heavily inspired by Minority Report) and Avatar (I really like Uruha of The GazettE, it's his favourite movie lmao)) and!! a pink cd player!! It is so so cute <3. And since it is almost Halloween I picked up yet another skull from the Halloween section at the grocery store... I have quite a few skulls lying around my room.

Thanks for reading and I hope I'll see you soon!!
